Here are answers to the most frequently asked questions about PoochPads
PoochPads are washable! Our eco-FRIENDLY reusable & absorbent pads with a built-in odor inhibitor that won’t wash out! PoochPads are designed for dog owners who love their dogs but hate the mess and odor resulting from them “going.” They can be washed 300+ times, making them very cost-effective. PoochPads help protect your floors, furniture and vehicles.
Moisture is wicked through the top mesh layer of the pad into the absorbent center layer, where liquid is trapped and held like a magnet. The bottom is a protective “raincoat-like”layer that prevents moisture from escaping, which protects the surfaces they are used on. Our pads utilize a reusable fiber technology developed exclusively for PoochPad®. This light-weight, extremely absorbent material can absorb 4 times its weight (a large PoochPad® absorbs about 48 oz. of fluid). PoochPads also contain an antimicrobial agent that prevents the growth of odor-causing bacteria.

Place your PoochPad®where you want your dog to “go”. If your pup is having trouble figuring out where you want him/her to “go,” we highly recommend our very popular PoochPad®Training Attractant Spray along with praise and reward to show them that this is the correct place. You can also dab a bit of your dog’s urine onto the pad for extra encouragement.

We recommend having at least two, one to use and one to wash. Our best sellers are two or three packs. Grab a PoochPad Laundry Bag to store them in until you are ready to wash. Just put the bag the wash inside out with the pads and you will have a clean laundry bag & pads! Theyare so handy you are going to wish you had at least a dozen!
In urine there is a bacteria present called Proteus, and these bacteria start to multiply and give off ammonia as a by-product. Ammonia is the reason for the urine smell. PoochPads contain odor inhibiting fibers that will not wash out, even after 300 washes. The absorbent, odor inhibiting layer slows the growth of these bacteria so your home stays smelling fresh.
Most dogs can be trained to use PoochPads. There are so many variations of our product that you are sure to find one that will accommodate your dog’s particular “go” needs. Most PoochPad® products can be machine washed and dried. They will not cause any harm to your machines. Please be sure to see each individual product’s care instructions before cleaning.
Do not machine wash or dry PoochTurf™!
This will vary depending on how often your pooch is “going” and volume, depending on the size of your dog. We generally tell our customers to judge according to their dog and usage. Typically, PoochPads can be used multiple times throughout a day or two before they are laundered. However, when it comes to our products that remain in closer contact with your dog, such as PoochPants™, PoochPad® Dog Beds, and Crate and Kennel Pads we would recommend changing and laudering more frequently to keep your pooch dry and comfy.
With proper care, PoochPads can last for 300 washes! Many of our customers telll us their PoochPads have lasted for several years.

Of course, PoochPads are notorious for being odor inhibiting and protecting your home and vehicle from pooch messes…but why stop there? PoochPads come in a variety of sizes. We always recommend keeping at least one handy, whether it’s in the car or by the front door. Not only are the pads useful for many things but PoochTrays can be too!
PoochPad®Products are not meant to be consumed. To avoid this from happening as soon as PoochPad® products are introduced to your puppy/dog, be sure to monitor and discourage chewing. We recommend not leaving your pooch alone with our products if they are not properly trained in this area. If your dog ingests any of our products, be sure to keep a close eye on them; an upset stomach may occur. With other concerns, please call your vet.
